Saint Patrick was a missionary, then the Bishop of Ireland. He lived from AD 385 to AD 461. He converted the pagan Irish into Christianity. He is the Patron Saint of Ireland. Dublin is the capital of Ireland. The flag is green, white and orange. The language is Irish. The symbol of Ireland is green.

The shamrock and the leprechaun are the symbols of Saint Patrick’s Day. The leprechaun is an Irish fairy. He looks like a small, old man and he wears green clothes. You have to keep your eye on him.

They celebrate Saint Patrick’s day with parades, singing and drinking on 17th March in the whole English-speaking world. Another name for Saint Patrick’s day is Saint Paddy.
